Kept me dry as a bone.
quality is good, drawstring to tighten when windy

I don't go anywhere without this hat. Keeps my head out of the unwanted effects of weather.
Very pleased with the hat. Easy to adjust to fit. The broad brim will be great for keeping the sun off my all-too-easily-sunburnt neck. Looking forward to wearing it on my next trek.
And it folds away neatly in a pocket and springs back to life Good value
It really is waterproof for 2 hours as I found out first time I wore it! Rain just slid off! Even bought a second one.
Not good when there is a lot of wind as the hat is easily deformed by the wind. Otherwise a great hat, easy to carry around and comfortable.
A hikers best friend. Love the adjustments and keeps the sun of your neck and out of your eyes.

The knot of the tie string comes loose easily.

How does Decathlon measure waterproofing?At Decathlon, we don't just consider the intrinsic quality of the component (in this instance, a fabric with a 20,000 Schmerbers rating) but we also test the waterproof qualities of the finished product in an environmental chamber reproducing different precipitation levels.This hat will protect you from a 12 cm rain shower for 2 hours, or 60 L of water per hour and per square metre: quite a downpour!
What makes ripstop fabric more durable?
The ripstop fabric is a mesh-type fabric. The warp and weft design helps ensure durability and prevent potential tears.
