It is certainly a good buy

As with other products from Decathlon, this DSMB A.K.A. 'sausage' is high-quality, yet affordable. Brilliant international orange (not yellow - yellow is to signal "Emergency!") in color, with fold over single-seam & taped design makes this roll up cleanly and neatly, and the built-in 6m spooled line is adequate for deployment during the 3 minutes safety stop at 5m. Has a sturdy 1" D-ring where you can loop your own line through and shoot the sausage from greater depth. This way, the built-in spool and line acts a weight to keep the bottom submerged. Which brings me to my next point: This DSMB is not a sealed-bottom. The benefit is that you could easily use your exhausted air, the AAS/Octo, or your primary regulator to fill the sausage with air for deployment. However, there is no OPV to prevent bursting or oral/LPI tube to fill it from because this is an open bottom sausage, despite Decathlon marketing this product with "unique one-way valve". This product is misleading as the sausage will, and indeed, will deflate once it is not submerged in the water. Apart from that, this product is still good, and it's easier for newer divers to deploy. Even if you have fancy 7' sealed-bottom DSMB I'd still recommend this product to serve as a compact back-up - especially if there are divers on the boat that do not own DSMB or had forgotten theirs. That being said, I hope Decathlon will amend the information on this product. I have used this product for more than a year and the color is still brilliant and no wear and tear so far. I am however, a responsible diver that takes good care of my gear, but this product is robust and I foresee many many years of good use from this.

Good brand and it works like it should be.

This SMB is definitely a must for a novice diver. Cheap and useful when starting diving. Most importantly, it served it’s purpose when used correctly.

I don't know what a goose neck seam is, maybe it's trying to keep a tight seal? (it doesn't work here in all reality)...but this is an open bottom design, good for filling from a regulator...but needs tension to prevent it from venting at the surface. With all that said, I will be using this as it is very compact - is self contained and has a finger spool and line already attached - and wraps up nicely . I will probably add some velcro to the 'goose neck' to keep as much form / air as possible when it hits the surface (a losing battle - I know). Great price and value nevertheless. Good strong bright fabric.

Funktioniert sehr gut! - Nur für die Pflege sollten sich die Entwickler mal Gedanken machen, ob nicht am obersten Punkt eine Öse oder Aufhänger angebracht werden kann, damit das eingedrungene Wasser komplett auslaufen kann, wenn die Boje zum Trocknen aufgehängt wird.

Die Boje macht was sie soll und ist top verarbeitet. Das Fächlein für's Blei ist clever gelöst.

leicht zu bedienen, sehr kompakt. empfehle Verwendung mit einem reel, damn funktioniert es noch besser

Lässt sich auch mit der integrierten Leine gut setzen. Einzig das Wiederaufwickeln könnte man verbessern. Nur wenn die Boje ordentlich wieder aufgerollt wird, was mit Handschuhen schwierig ist, lässt sie sich wieder schließen.
