EPS liner to absorb shocks, covered with a protective ABS shell. This helmet offers good protection when cycling, thanks to its rear shell, which provides more coverage than the PLAY100.
To help children personalise their helmets, we have provided vents that make it easy to insert soft paper decorations, as shown in the example in our photos. Important: only soft paper (maximum 100g/m²) and light adhesive tape may be used for these DIY decorations.
EN1078 is a European standard regarding testing methods and requirements for "cycling, skateboarding, and skating" helmets. This standard covers the following aspects: - construction, including field of vision - shock absorption properties - retention system features including the chinstrap - tightening devices - marking and information.
The 500 helmet is equipped with an automatic head circumference adjustment system. After choosing the right size (XS:47 to 52 cm or S:52 to 55 cm) and adjusting the chin strap during first use, children can put it on by themselves, as easily as a cap. Thanks to a system of elastic bands, a pad fits snugly against the back of the head to adjust the helmet perfectly to the child's head shape.
