There are three poles to insert into their corresponding sleeves. There are colour codes to help you.We recommend that 2 people pitch the tent.

Sun protection

The flysheet fabric has UPF 30 sun protection.Caution: be careful, as a large amount of UV rays can get in through a simple open door.

Ventilation

The ventilated flysheet on the living area airs the room and reduces condensation inside your tent. High ventilation hatches are also provided at the front and back of the tent, along with high mosquito nets on the door and at the back of the bedroom.

Wind resistance

We test all our tents in a wind tunnel on a turntable. The aim is to expose each side of our tent to the same wind intensity.Properly pitched, with the guy ropes deployed, this tent remains habitable in wind speed 6, measured at 50 km/h.

Waterproof and taped seams

We test our tents to validate their waterproofing. The first test is done in the laboratory, 3 hours under 200 litres of water per hour per sqm, the equivalent of 200 mm tropical rain per hour. The second test is done in the field under real-life conditions by our teams. This tent is fitted with a polyurethane-coated polyester flysheet measuring 2,000 mm. It also has seams that have been waterproofed with heat-sealed strips, and a 140 g/sqm polyethylene groundsheet.

Repair

As designers and practitioners who love our playground, we care about the durability of our products. That's why all our tents are designed to be repairable. Spare parts and pole repairs are available at the workshop of your Decathlon store or on our website.

Poles and tent pegs

Poles - All our poles are made from fibreglass and undergo double quality checks. This guarantees some of the best resistance against breakage.Tent pegs - All our pegs are made of steel and have a diameter of 6 mm.

Excellent tent

I brought this tent 5 years ago I have waterproofed it once (I know you should do it more ) it has been used every weekend of the summer holidays and at least 4 other times in the year all weathers it’s been in a storm and survived one pole has just broken however with the spare poles it can be an easy fix However I feel I have definitely had my moneys worth of this tent so I’m going to buy another one wouldn't go anywhere else , I paid over £400 (tent was in the sale ) another well know brand 6 man tent when all the family came first rain we had it leaked !!! Decathlon all the way for me xxx

Upgrade tent

Bought this tent for our second family camping trip after our last one was damaged due to the rain. This tent was everything I wanted and more liked that it has a bedroom and living area giving it so much more room for things and being able to cook inside as well is a big pluses. Can also say we camping in some very bad rain during the weekend and the tent was perfect

Best tent so far

Have had lots of tents over the years. This one ticks all the boxes for me. It may be a bit snug for 4 people but fitted my needs perfectly. I loved being able to stand upright in the living area. Or cook a meal. Sleeping area was a reasonable height as well. had a practice at home with my son helping and was able to manage to erect the tent at the rally sight on my own without too much bother. It came down ok as well. Considering it was my first solo camping since I contracted covid in August 2021 I was pretty pleased with how the tent performed over the weekend. Here's to the next steam rally.
