I like the 50/50 combination of smooth texture and fleece warmth. I can choose which texture I like next to my skin. I have used it while mountain walking and Nordic skiing. It’s easy to remove and store in a pocket when too warm - I have even managed to remove from and put it on my neck without removing climbing helmet. I have found that it isn’t ideal for use under a helmet because of the fleece section but makes a useful warm head covering when a helmet is removed - if the helmet has made the head wet then this item allows it to breath dry while keeping the head from cooling too quickly.
