Easy to assemble and a solid and stable bench
Great bench, easy to use
easy to put together ,very sturdy you can perform lots of different training programs.
Bought it in June 2018 and broke (split metal in high stress area) in Juli 2021. For the low price of €60 it's a good product but don't expect that your grandchildren will be albe to bench on that thing when you don't need it anymore.
Ideal for so simple exercises
One of the Decathlon staff members helped me carry it to the car (it’s quite heavy). Got it home, put it together in about 45 minutes. Having read the other reviews I knew not to tighten all the fixtures until they were all in place. Easy to fold flat when not in use. Sturdy when in use, exactly what I wanted.
I'm very much a novice with strength training and wanted a cheap bench that could be folded away, and could last me for 2 or 3 years until I have more space and more money. I've only used this for a few sessions so far, but this seems to be a perfectly good bench for light, general use. It does everything it is supposed to and is solid enough, but given it is a folding bench it will never be as solid as fixed frame benches. There are lots of little ways the whole item could be improved to be a bit more convenient and enjoyable to use, so if you have an abundance of space and money, perhaps look elsewhere. If you just want a cheap folding bench, this does the job pretty well. Some other thoughts: Packaging and assembly - Well packaged, minimal plastic in a the pack. The instructions aren't brilliant, some of the fixings are labelled with letters in the manual and numbers in the packaging. The instructions also leave out a few steps, mainly placing the plastic stoppers for the ends, but you can work it out easily enough. The advice others have left about placing all the bolts loosely before tightening is good advice for any self-assembly item and is definitely valid here. Folding - This folds pretty quickly and easily by removing 2 pins and folding the legs down. It's a shame the pins don't have attachments to stop you dropping or losing them, but it isn't a huge problem. The bench does fold down pretty flat, but because of the way the frame is assembled, it is a little bit of a pain if you put it on its end to lean it against the wall. It's just that some parts flap around a bit, which is inconvenient but again, not a major issue. Use - Does exactly what you'd expect and is simple to use. It's pretty solid during normal use, although I'm not using large weights at the moment so I haven't tested it up to the maximum. There is a little movement in the seat due to the way it attaches to the frame, but again it doesn't cause any actual problems, just doesn't feel totally solid.
Really good for the money. Only minor issue is the seat bolts on a few degrees wonky. Does not effect its use.
Lots of parts, but came with great instructions and appears to be very good quality indeed. I have it in my bedroom and it looks smarter than you would expect!
I bought this bench about 9 months before this and i had no problems. But now every time i do incline the locking mechanism gets stuck. i have not put too much stress on the bench than the box says it can handle. you definitely should buy another more quality bench
Good bench, great value and versatile use with easy storage
Best buy and folds neatly to store away
Bought this bench about a month back for my son to use due to lockdown. It's been a big help and get's used daily. I've read some reviews about it being hard to assemble as not everything lines up. I totally get these reviews, i expected to have it done way quicker than it actually took me. I found that if you just finger tighten all the bolts it gives you that little bit of extra movement to squeeze the last bolts into place. Then when complete tighten everything up fully with the tool provided. I've never been very good at assembling things but i managed it in the end. Would have rated 5 stars had it been just that bit easier to put together.
Very good for dumbbell workouts.
Bought this a few months ago while building my home gym, finally got round to putting it together and at least half the holes are out of alignment making it impossible to put together, having read reviews its clear this is a common issue and now its too late to return it. Waste of money and time!
