Additional Product informations

Composition

Main fabric

  • 75% Polyester
  • 25% Polyethylene

Pole

  • 100% Glass Fiber

Pitching and striking the tent

This tent has a classic dome structure. All you have to do is fit the tent poles with the bedroom, and then fit the flysheet on top.To strike the tent, the process is the same, but in reverse. If it is windy it is advisable to attach the guy ropes that are provided in the tent bag.

Mattress compatibility

Recommended tent with a self-inflating mattress or trekking mattress up to 65 cm wide.We do not recommend using inflatable mattresses, that are more than 8 cm thick, in this tent.Indeed, this greatly reduces the volume inside the tent and increases condensation inside.

Ventilation of the tent

So that air can flow and be replaced between the bedroom and the flysheet, and eliminate the natural condensation as much as possible, the tent has 1 air vent at the top.

Waterproofing of the tent

All our tents are validated in the laboratory and in the field to guarantee the waterproofing. To do this, we put the entire tent under a 200 L/h shower for 3 hours. The flysheet is made of 2000mm Schmerber PU-coated polyester and the groundsheet is made of 120g/m² polyethylene. All the seams are sealed with thermobonded tape.

Wind resistance

We test all our tents in a wind tunnel on a turntable to expose each side to the wind. A well-assembled tent with all the guy ropes properly deployed around the tent should remain habitable with a wind speed measured at 40 km/h near the ground (Force 5).

Disappointed

I expected more from the tent. Used less than 10 times - a hole appeared on a stitch between the bottom and the walls. Also the bottom seems to be developing holes. To compare I was using a non branded market bought 10$ tent in a backpacking trip continuously for a year on a variety of terrains and didn't have these issues. There is no simple pocket inside to put any small object you may need immediately. Also the assembly process is not the easiest and takes longer time than expected because of the attached hooks. Didnt expensive rain with this tent yet. Max capacity will be 2 people and 1 small backpack. 2 luggages will not enter the tent and you have to leave your bags outside in that case. Overall not recommended

Second tent

Second one of these I have bought so teenagers can have their own space. Small 2 man tent, just enough room for their single air bed and the small decathalon bed side table. Easy to put up and down

First choice.

Extremely solid, waterproof, great sleep. Moderate weight. Only drawback the zip. If your feet get muddy, or any tiny mud particles, grit get on it, if you find it catches slightly it will often rapidly catch more, go wonky and no longer line up so even if you can pull the zip tab, it stays open behind. I've had 5 that's both how good the tent is but also zip failure. Keep it clean and no zip failure, but camping not usually clean.
