Accelerometer technology

The ONWALK 500 measures your walking activity thanks to a 3D accelerometer. Thanks to this technology, the ONWALK 500 provides an accurate measurement whatever its position: in your pocket, in your bag or on your belt.

Counts your steps automatically

The ONWALK 500 automatically begins counting your paces and measuring your distance as soon as you start your activity.

10,000 step notification

To stay in shape, you should aim to walk 10,000 steps a day. ONWALK 500 sends a visual notification when you have reached or exceeded this objective.

Automatic reset at midnight

The ONWALK 500 resets automatically every day at midnight to measure your stats day by day. This function can also be disabled.

Automatic step length

Your walking distance is calculated based on your step count and your stride length. On the ONWALK 500, your stride length is automatically estimated based on your size, for an easy start with your pedometer. For greater accuracy, you can also opt to enter your stride length manually.

Automatic standby

The ONWALK 500 automatically switches to standby mode after 30 seconds of inactivity to conserve battery life.

Battery

CR2032 battery included.

User precautions

This pedometer was designed to measure walks only. Not suitable for running or hillwalking.

Onwalk 500

Bought this to replace broken pedometer.Found it works well hanging from my trouser belt with looped cord, rather than using belt clip that is provided.

Pedometer clip useless

Lost the pedometer shortly after purchase as clip useless and wish I had purchased a wrist or corded one. Notice that Decathlon staff are advising reviewers to ensure clip on correctly! Ridiculous advise. Second review as my first never appeared, bit like the pedometer.

Problems

My onwalk pedometer I have had for about two weeks; and it is not very sensitive. It is supposed to start counting as soon as you start walking but I find that it doesn't notice even when I climb my stairs - three flights - in the morning. It only gets going when I do longer distances. Its not very sensitive - and that is very dispiriting
