MEN’S SKI JACKET SLIDE 300

To face different weather (rain, snow, wind...), the SLIDE 300 jacket has been developed and produced using a special component to prevent water from entering. In order to validate the waterproof rating, the jacket was placed under a special shower that replicates the real-life conditions faced by skiers."

Water repellent fabric allows water to run off its surface without seeping in. The SLIDE 300 jacket is equipped with water repellent components which prolong the resistance to bad weather. This is an additional technical solution for staying dry for as long as possible on the ski slopes. You should repeat this treatment regularly using products sold in our stores to maintain these properties.

The coating is a waterproof "substance" that is spread on the inner side of the fabric. It prevents water from seeping into the garment but allows the water vapour produced by an active body to escape. So you will stay dry and comfortable while hitting the slopes

In addition to the waterproof fabric, we have enhanced the waterproof rating of the Slide 300 jacket with taped seams. These are waterproof adhesive strips fixed to the inside seams of the garment to make it perfectly watertight.These taped seams are present on the areas most exposed to snow. These are usually located on the shoulders and chest.

So that skiers feel "neither too hot, nor too cold", the garment must be able to adapt to the body's physical movement and the outside environment.We use wadding for insulation to keep you warm.The wadding is a synthetic material with a polyester base that stores a greater or lesser quantity of air depending on the size of fibres used.There are different types of wadding, including standard, technical and siliconized, which all have different properties (for warmth, lightness and suppleness...)

Dressing properly on the ski slopes. In order to keep warm and dry, we recommend using the 3-layer rule. The principle is simple: Use 3 layers of fabric, each having a particular function. Your skiing base-layer and your liner jacket must produce and retain warmth. Your ski jacket will protect you from the weather conditions. All these layers should be breathable in order to evacuate humidity.

It’s the ski jacket’s ability to allow moisture produced during exercise to escape to the outside, keeping you dry. To find out if a fabric is breathable, its evaporative resistance, called RET (standardized test ISO 11092), is measured. The lower the RET, the more breathable the fabric. This is the garment’s resistance to the wind. The fabric is made windproof by adding a coating or a membrane to the inside. When skiing on the slopes or resting on the ski lifts, protect yourself from the wind to prevent chills and make you as comfortable as possible.

You no longer need to get your ski pass out because your sleeve has a ski pass pocket to allow you to access the cable cars quickly.

The snow skirt is a protection system at waist level that closes with press snaps at the bottom of the ski or snowboard jacket. It prevents snow and air from getting in when skiing and especially in case of a fall.

To optimise your jacket's performance and durability, we advise the following: Machine wash separately at 30°C. Synthetic cycle. Turn inside out. Use a small amount of detergent. No fabric softener. Wring out manually. Dry on a hanger in a warm, well-ventilated place. Do not dry clean. Do not place on a radiator. You can re-waterproof the outer fabric using an aerosol waterproofing spray for fabric. Read the care tag carefully.
